Is Hypnobirthing for me?
Hypnobirthing is an evidence-based approach to birth that seeks to empower women and birthing people with knowledge, practical tools and support, enabling them to have a positive birth experience, however they choose to bring their baby into the world.
Hypnobirthing is for everyone and every birth; you don't need to subscribe to any school of thought or be planning any particular type of birth. In fact, there's no one on the planet who wouldn't benefit from being better informed about their body and their options, and having a practical toolkit to use in labour and birth.
It doesn't matter how your baby is going to make an appearance, or when or with what help. It doesn't matter if you're planning a home water birth, an induction in hospital or a caesarean section. What matters is that you are fully informed and feeling confident, armed with practical tools to help you remain calm and relaxed throughout and empowered to make the right decisions for you and your baby. It matters that for the rest of your life, when you reflect on your birth, you remember it as an incredible and empowering experience, rather than a traumatic one. Hypnobirthing will help with that. There is no scenario where what you have learnt won't help you.

Hypnobirthing Group Classes
Our hypnobirthing classes are designed to be a fully comprehensive antenatal course, so there is no need for you to attend any others unless you wish to. We run online Zoom courses which you can attend from the comfort of your own home.
A great advantage to group classes is that you will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded parents-to-be who you can stay connected with after the course and there is always a really positive, supportive atmosphere. A key benefit to attending our group classes is that you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have to your hypnobirthing teacher, the course will be tailored to meet the needs of those attending and you have access to ongoing support on phone or email all the way until your baby is born. Women and birthing people are welcome to attend any time from 20 weeks into their pregnancy but most expectant parents attend around the 30 week mark. That said, it’s never too late to attend and to learn more about birth and equip yourself with the tools needed for the best birth possible.
